About the Gallery

Alternating Current Art Space is a Melbourne-based artist-run initiative located on High Street in Windsor, Victoria. Since opening its doors in April 2016, the gallery has championed early and mid-career contemporary artists and curators through an ambitious exhibition program spanning visual art, sound art, video and projection, installation, ceramics, sculpture, performance, and beyond.

The gallery comprises four distinct exhibition spaces and The Cupboard, a compact project space designed for intimate, experimental works. With approximately thirty exhibitions mounted each year and opening nights every Friday from 6 to 8 pm, Alternating Current Art Space has established itself as a vital part of the Chapel Street Arts Precinct in the City of Stonnington.
